1 December 2015 - The full version of "Up The Kent" is released on YouTube to great response from its contributors and punk fans. It will be played at some of Skaciety's gigs during December and promoted on Facebook and Twitter. Mike received thanks from Davee Wild's dad who was very grateful for the film being dedicated to the memory of Davee and his tireless contribution to the Kent punk scene.

21 Oct 2015 - The trailer is released for the short film made about the Up The Kent event and its participants. Film-maker Mike Fordham attended the event and filmed performances plus interviews with some of the bands. The full short film will be released on 1 December 2015 but in the meantime the trailer summarises what happened on the day. Huge thanks to everyone that participated on the day either as a performer, an interviewee or both. Unfortunately not everyone could be interviewed on the day as the main focus was on recording the bands, but we hope to present a short film that shows the day and the scene itself in its best light. 07 Jul 2015 - The day went well and some great bands were able to showcase their talents. Despite the searing heat outside we had a good attendance and nobody passed out with heat stroke!

15 Feb 2015 - The Co-Op Social Club has been booked for Saturday 11th July for each band to play a 20 minute set (their cover song and a couple of their own.) Backline will be provided, the bands just need to bring their instruments, and drum breakables. Please keep this date free in your diaries. More details to follow...

01 Feb 2015 - An amazing night last night at the Castle Tavern, and a brilliant turnout. OK straight off the bat Deano's Hoes have dropped out of the project. They didn't show up at the event, didn't contact us, and hadn't provided a CD prior to the function, so sorry lads, but we've had to move ahead without you. However, a late addition to the party, is The Lords of Lonesome, fronted by local Punk legend Arthur Kitchener. It's great to have them on board.

So now the news that everyone wanted, the draw. Check out the updates on the Results page, to see who will be playing what band.

29 Dec 2014 - All acts to send representative to the Castle Pub in Sheerness High Street on 31 January 2015 (Less Than Worse, Skaciety and The Commited are playing this night). Bring a CD with you, of your own band.

All bands participating will pull a CD out of a "Hat" *, and it will be a song from that album which they will be covering. You will also receive a memory stick to store your film on.

If you cant make the 31 January date, send a CD to "Andy Lamb C/o Castle Tavern, 210-212 High St, Sheerness, Kent ME12 1UN", and you will have a CD drawn from said hat on your behalf.

* Note - "Hat" may in fact be a "Carrier Bag" from Tesco, tied up with hairy string.
